“Knowing Score – Political Posters in Lino & Block Print”

June 12 – September 6, 2025

White River Craft Center Gallery | 50 Randolph Ave, Randolph, Vermont

The White River Craft Center is proud to present Knowing Score: Political Posters in Lino & Block Print, on view from June 12 through August 30. Curated by Kate Branstetter in collaboration with the Craft Center, this powerful exhibition explores the intersection of printmaking and political expression.

The show centers on the work of Tim Tanker, a Maine-based woodblock artist whose bold, expressive prints give voice to marginalized communities and underground subcultures. His work is rooted in the DIY traditions of resistance and advocacy.

In addition to Tanker's work, the exhibition features pieces by Kate Branstetter, Janet Cathey, Pat Murdough, and large-scale woodblock prints created during a recent Resist! workshop at Two Rivers Printmaking Studio in White River Junction.

As part of the exhibition, printmaker Janet Cathey will host a free postermaking workshop on June 14th from 9-11am at the White River Craft Center. Materials are will be provided.

Community members of all ages are invited to create their own posters—either to take home or add to a rotating public display. Participation is free and open to all.
