The White River Craft Center (WRCC) is a community arts center in Randolph Vermont, nurturing creativity through diverse educational programs and a vibrant community of studio artists. Our mission revolves around fostering creativity, cultural engagement, and community.
Position Overview:
As an AmeriCorps VISTA member at the Craft Center, you'll support community outreach, partnership development, and fundraising efforts for youth programming. Your role will involve engaging youth through tailored programs, fostering collaborations, and conducting research for impactful initiatives. We aim to empower youth, through free or low-cost innovative programs. Join us in building a stronger and more resilient community in Randolph, where the arts are accessible to youth and play a transformative role.
Serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA:
AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America (VISTA) is a national service program all about helping individuals reach their fullest potential. VISTA is designed to build the capacity of an organization and enhance its ability to serve the community.
VISTA members serve full-time (~40 hours/week) for one full year on projects that build the capacity of the organization. Projects can vary and are not limited to: developing outreach and marketing campaigns, building a social media presence, creating a program database, writing grants, managing a program in its first year, and recruiting volunteers. As a result, VISTA impacts both the person serving as well as the individuals served.
